Kia ora! I’m Sophie, a photographer, content management and marketing specialist, and surfer based in Wellington, New Zealand. Born and raised in the South Island, I have always been drawn to spending as much time as possible outdoors. From growing up exploring hidden parts of New Zealand’s national parks to riding horses through the remote backcountry, to moving overseas in my 20s and exploring 15+ countries, I’ve always had an adventurous spirit.

When I was given my first camera, a 35mm SLR, I was hooked on documenting the things around me that caught my attention. Now, my photos use natural light as a callback to my childhood spent exploring in the sun and basking in the ocean. And I’m most inspired by photographing people.
